Hillel Lodge offers programming 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, tailored to each resident's interests. Programs include the Hillel Harmony choir, Exploring Art Group with a professional art therapist, the Green Thumb Club for indoor and outdoor gardening, Java Memory Care and Java Music Club for residents with dementia, and the Companionship Connections Program for one-on-one engagement. Regular activities include bingo, weekly pet visits, live music, monthly birthday parties, and intergenerational programs.

Hillel Lodge's kitchen is certified kosher by the Ottawa Vaad HaKashrut. Three daily meals plus snacks follow a seasonal 4-week rotating menu reviewed by a Registered Dietitian. Lunch and supper alternate dairy and meat options, each with soup or salad, entrée, vegetable, and dessert. The MealSuite dining system personalizes meals using resident profiles. Menus display on flat screens in each neighbourhood. Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday meals, theme days, and summer barbecues celebrated. On-site café and guest meals available. Non-kosher food may only be consumed in a resident’s own room.
